Safaga
Woke this morning to find us in the port of Safaga, located at the bottom of the Red Sea and entrance to the Suez Canal. Weather is very sunny and air temp around 25 degrees, very pleasant. The tours left very early this morning around 4am to visit the Pyramids and other attractions. This trip will take over 13 uncomfortable hours sitting on a coach and spending little time at the wonders of the world. We decided it was not worth the hassle and stayed on board. The country here is absolutely barren with no vegetation and looks very dirty and uninspiring. We spent the day lazing around until it was our time to visit the gym, yes it is the only way to keep the weight down and ensure our clothes still fit after 2 months at sea. To allow the coaches time to return we depart the port around 23:00 hrs destination Port Said.
